The interest aroused by the moderator's visit to Ullapool found expression in the crowded congregation that completely filled the parish church for the united evening service. As no memorial exists to Robert Ferguson in Scotland, save the stone raised by Burns, Mr Craigie., an admirer of the laureate of Auld Reekie, has sent to the Burns Federation a gift of £IOO to start a fund for the erection of a memorial to the poet. Mr Craigie Tegards it as a reproach to Edinburgh that, while money is lavishly spent on The entertainment and laudation of visi tors, whose name is completely swallowed in oblivion in half a generation, the city has not dealt justly with the poet whom Burns described as "tho elder brother" of his imiso.
