DECISION OF NEW YORK ASSOCIATION. , Association —By Telegraph—Copyright NEW YORK, August 4. The New York State Boxing Association announced that it is through ,vu i Dempsey, and will ignore him in future. It expresses the nope that organise boxing bodies in the other States will co-operate in his ostracism. The chairman says: “Dempsey is not licensed in this State so we cannot make him ngut. Accordingly we shall ignore him in future. However, we have no authority to vacate the heavy-weight title nor to name another champion. This break followed Dempsey s failure to appear personally, as promised, to make a definite statement as to lus intenfcions.- —A. and N.Z. Gable.
