In the House of Commons Mr Baldwin announced that the House would rise on August 7 or August 8 till November 16. The following were among the Bills which would bo postponed till the autumn : Dangerous Drugs, Government of India, Civil Service, and Merchandise Marks on Imported Agricultural Products. Mr J. Maxton (Labour) asked if the House would be reassembled if industrial troubles became more serious in the interval. , , Mr Baldwin said that there was always the power to summon the House, and he had no hesitation in giving the assurance that he would do so, but he could not imagine such assurance being necessary.—Reuter.
