“HULLOA, DUNEDIN”
A ’big production. ‘‘Hulloa, Dunedin,” which is in the nature of a revue, combining ballet dancing, sconas, vocal work, gymnastic and acrobatic work of a high order, is planned to be presented on ambitious lines. Over 300 performers, garbed in multi-coloured costumes, will appear, and special lighting and scenery has been devised so as to provide an effective setting. The supporting artists include Mrs Astley Black, Misses 11. Grant and A. Wilkinson, A.T.C.L., Messrs F. C. Cooper, R. B. Macdonald, .loss White, and others. The oancing pupils of Misses Lappan and Stevens interpret the ballet dancing, with Miss Ins Griffiths and Mr Bruce Warden as soloists. A number of pretty scenes is included in the 25 items to bo presented. The Hunt Club hounds will be seen in the hunt scene, a colourful picture, enhanced by the tableaux setting of huntsmen with their picturesque costumes. Especial features of the show are to be the costuming and lighting, .and both of these play a prominent pert in the presentation of the gipsy scena and the “Magic Wands” item. Miss Patrick in “Electric Clubs” has a bevy of clever young ladies who show much skill in their presentation of this item. The entertainment, which commences on Saturday next, is bound to be a big attraction during Fleet Week. The orchestra will be under the baton of Mrs Walter Haggitt, who has a special score of music under rehearsal. The box plan will be opened at the Bristol to-day, and there are indications of a record booking.
