ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
HOCKEY PLAYER INJURED. (Per United Press Association.) WELLINGTON, July 12. In a Third Grade hockey match between Technical College and Old Boys, Gray Russell (Technical) fell and sustained a broken leg. FOOTBALLERS INJURED. (Per United ,Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, July 11. A Millar, the Linwood half-back, in the Linwood-Mcrivalo game at Lancaster Park to-day, was injured just before the match ended. Ho was removed from the field to the, hospital in an unconscious condition, suffering from concussion. M'CJabo, the Morivalo player who was injured during the match against' Linwood this afternoon, and who did not return to play after the interval, was also sent to hospital for an X-ray examination. It is feared that a rib has been broken. A boy named Sydney Alexander, a member of the Christchurch Seventh Grade team, broke his forearm while playing against Sydenham at Lancaster Park- Ho was removed to hospital. James M'Korrow, a Southern footballer, received an injury to his side on Saturday in the match against University A, and was admitted to the Hospital. He is not badly hurt.
