PRICE OF RUBBER
IIFCORD FOE RECENT YEARS. SIGNS OP A BOOM IN SHARES. Press Association —By Telegraph—Copyright. LONDON, July 10. Rubber is still advancing, and has reached a record price for recent years—--4s per lb. Quotations as far ahead as 1927 are now given at 2s 2d per lb. Tho inevitable result has been a revival in rubber shares, which give indications of developing into a real boom. Tho only check to wider dealings than aro at present taking place is the scarcity of shares. Genuine holders are unwilling to sell out, even at the current advanced prices. It is anticipated that a continuance of the present bullish market will result_ in the creation of numerous new rubber companies and probably a boom reminiscent of that of 1910.—A. and N.Z. Cable.
