OTAGO HOSPITAL BOARD.
Following are the Benevolent and Sanatorium Committee's reports (abbreviated) that will bo brought before the next meeting of the Otago Hospital Board: — The Benevolent Committee reports as under: —The committee reports havingdealt with 23 cases for relief at a weekly cost of £l3 12s. Casual cases for relief amounting to £lO2 (Is 5d have been been passed for payment. During the past month seven persons have been admitted to, two discharged from, and three deaths have occurred at the Otago Benevolent Institution. At present 153 inmates remain. The Sanatorium Committee reports in reference to the fire on the board’s property at Pleasant Valley Sanatorium that the action taken to have the fences repaired by using the blue gum posts on the property has boon approved.
