TREATMENT OF SUB-NORMAL CHILDREN. fPEB United Press Association,) WELLINGTON, Juno 12. At the meeting of the Council of Education Dr Hilda M. Norther oft moved—“ That this council urges the Education Department to institute a complete survey of the school children of the dominion with a view to their classification on psychiatric linos, thus defining as far as possible the need for special schools and classes.”. The mover said that while wo in New Zealand claimed to load the world in many ways wo were about 50 years behind some other countries in the treatment of sub-normal children or children who were not normal. Miss B. E. Carnachon seconded the motion, which was carried.
