O’SHEA CHARGED WITH MANSLAUGHTER. Press Association —By Telegraph—Copyright. MELBOURNE, June 12. Jack Maxwell O’Shea has been committed for trial on a charge of manslaughter. As the result of a disturlmncp outside the United States Hotel at Carlton John Henry Dodds, aged 42 died from a bullet wound in the head. Jack Max well O’Shea, the licensee, was arrested on a- charge of murder. According to a statement by O'Shea, he and another man hoard the sounds of men attempting to break the back gate on his premises. They saw one mar. climbing over the gate and others assisting him. O'Shea then fired a shot from a revolver, intending to frighten them, but the man on, the gate fell off. The men scattered when the police arrived, and escaped.
