Press Association —By Telegraph —Copyright. SYDNEY, June 10. (Received June 10, at 7.30 p.m.) The New Zealand footballers arrived in good condition. They got to work training immediately. The weather has broken again, and is showery. THE ALL BLACKS. 1924 AND 1923 TEAMS. (From Gun Own Correspondent.) WELLINGTON, June 10. Tho Match between the ’24 and ’25 All Blacks which it is proposed to play here on July 8 should lie interesting, and if the weather is at all fine will most certainly draw a very large attendance. There are available a sufficient number of players from the team that went, abroad to make a strong side. C. Badeley (Auckland), Brian M'Cleary (Canterbury), and J. Harvey (Wairarapa) will not he able to play, and other players are doubtful, but tho pick of the touring team of last season are said to be well and willing to play. Nepia as full-back, Lucas, Brown, Hart, Svenson, Steel, and Robilliard, of the three-quarters, Paewai, M. Nicholls, Cooks, and M’Gregor at five-eighths, and Mill and Dally at half are almost certainties. The wing-for-wards, Porter and Parker, are in action, but there appears to bo some uncertainty about- the hookers. Munro and Irvine have met with injuries, while Q. Donald has had an attack of influenza. Two of thorn may be fit in time for the match, otherwise White will ho able to fill a front rank position. Masters will be the lock, and for the other positions there will be Maurice and Cyril Brownlie, West and Cupplos, with Richardson, who played as wing three-quarters last Saturday, and Stewart as possibles. A FURTHER SUGGESION. (Pek United Press Association.) WESTPORT, June 10. It is suggested by the Rugby authorities here that instead of the. two All Black teams playing in Wellington and being seen by residents and those within easy reach of Wellington, that the 1024 All Blacks should tour one island and the 1925 All Blacks the other island, and that they play each other at the conclusion of Hie tours i.i Wellington. 'This would give footballers in all parts of the dominion the benefit of the experience gained by the two teams on the Australian and English tours. INTER-UNIVERSITY MATCH. SYDNEY DEFEATS AUCKLAND. (Pie United Press Association.) AUCKLAND, June 10. Tho Sydney University footballers won the last match of their tour to-day by defeating Auckland University by 18 to 13 after a good game. Auckland were the first to get going, and, after several attacking movements by tho backs had been stopped, Millar scored an unconverted try. Sydney were attacking when Cashmore started a great movement in which six players handled tho ball, Olsen dashing over to score. The try was not converted. The Sydney backs brightened up. Good work by Pratt and Smith on the blind side enabled Storey to notch the visitors’ first try. Williams converted, and the score at half-time was: Auckland 9, Sydney 5. There was an exciting opening to the second spell, play having scarcely resumed when Anderson started a passing bout in which about half the Auckland team participated, Sinclair getting over at tho corner. The kick failed, Sydney gained the lead as the result of the brilliant effort by Wiseman, who dribbled through from his own twenty-five and scored a great try. Williams converted, making the score 10—J in Sydney’s favour. Auckland attacked persistently, and finally Hamilton crossed the line, the kick again failing. With a fe\V minutes to go Auckland were still in the lead, the scores being 12—10. The visitors launched a hot attack, Johnson paving the way for Pratt to score. This time AVilliams failed to convert. A moment later another Sydney rush beat the Auckland defence, Garrett scoring for Williams to convert as the boll rang. Scores: — Sydney IS Auckland 13
