The following mine managers’ report* have come to hand :• New Waiotahi. —Bising on the junction of the two reefs from the intermediate dnve from the winze below the level is in progress, The combined width is about 12in, and a few pieces of picked stone have been selected. Cleaning up and laying the train rails to the face of the crosscut for the Waiotahi-Camhria reef has been finished, and the air pipes are being placed in posttion. ' KuranuL—Driving on the north-east trend of the reef has been temporarily suspended to allow the necessary ventilation to bo provided. The reef showing in the face at tha present time is f.bout 18in in width, being composed of solid quartz, well mineralised, and gives good prospects in the dish. iho ventilating tunnel to connect with the workings on the reef is now in Xsft, the - entrance being securely timbered; good progress is being made at this point, and .when completed will give natural ventilation throughout tie mine.
