DUNEDIN FREE KINDERGARTEN ASSOCIATION.

Tho usual monthly meeting of the Dunedin Frew Kindergarten Association was hold yesterday atlernoon, Mrs T. K. Sidoy presiding. It was reported that advice had neon received tnat tho capitation for the first quarter will be taken on an average basis us tiio schools were closed for tlio whoio quarter owing lo the epidemic. A letter was received from the Otago Motor Club intimating that it would look into tho matter of erecting a warning notice board near tho Caversliam Kindergarten. Tlio teach ora reported that the children at Caversham and Kelsey A aralla had been medically examined by tlio public school doctor. Miss Macdonald acknowledged gifts for tho Kelsey-larolla School Irom Mr Tunnock and Masdamos Clark and livving. Miss Cray acknowledged gifts for (Javersham Kindergarten from Mr Weir and Alesdames Phillips and Taverner, and assistance given by tho Fathers’ Club in the garden on Saturdays. Miss Croft announced that the Kaikorai children had started forming a garden, the local committee having previewed tools to make this possible. Miss Hancock acknowledged gifts to St. Kilda Kindergarten from Messrs Frye and Fox, Mrs Kvans, Miss Kelsey, and several members of tho Mothers’ Club. Tho collector handed in subscriptions amounting to £2l. Motions of sympathy were passed on account of the deaths of tho Prime Minister, and the. llov. Dr Cameron, ami also of the Rev. R.
