VISIT OF FRITZ KREISLER.

TO THE EDITOr Sie, —I am in complete accord with the letter from t lie pen of the president of the Otago Society of Musicians regarding the educational value of the visit of the consummate artist and wonderful violin virtuoso, Kreiaior. Apart from the financial aspect, the visitor should receive the whole hearted support of every music-loving citizen. Ho requires no introduction as a musician, and his world-famed record as the greatest violinist of the age, is surely a sufficient guarantee that ,wc shall all receive an education in the real art of interpretation. We all require to be musically educated, and this visit will be our opportunity. Even aJthough it will cost us 20 odd shillings to have the one hearing, it will recompense us, and will also help ns to fight shy of so many “tipstarts” such as have visited us in recent voars, posing as the greatest this and that. Such an one as Kreisler is an artist, and I have no doubt whatever but that an audience worthy of the occasion will be present to give him the welcome ho deserves. —I am, etc., W. Paget Gale.
