HARRIERS.

The St. Hilda Harriers ran from the residence of Mrs A. L. M’Donald The trail laid by A. M‘Donald and C. Wills led from Mtoreau street along Victoria road, round the Esplanade, and up around the Cliffs past Cargill’s Castle, passing over the paddocks, and dropping down into Green Island, and homo by the South road. When Look-out Point was reached tho pack split into two parties, and a fast run home ensued, resulting on T. Dove being first, followed by J. Dunn and D. Skene. The Leith Harriers held a run from Concord School. An excellent trail, laid by 0. Warrington and S. Parker, led from the school past ■ the freezing works towards tho Southern Reservoir to Green Island. Here the pack broke up, and a good run home was made along tho road. In a good finish A. Ellis finished first, with AY. Buchanafi and R. Watson close behind. Tho younger members ran very well. The Cargill Road Methodist Harriers held their run from the Roslyn Methodist Church on Saturday. A short trail, laid by O. Hunt and W. Moore, led over the hill and down tho zig-zag into Fraser’s Gully, up which it led Mr a good distance. After leading up the hill to the loft, it went over some paddocks and through thick gorse to Glenelg street. From the Roslyn Woollen Mills it led along the Kaikorai Valley road to Taieri road. The run home resulted in X. Blackbourne being first, X. Newbold second, J. Kerr third. Several of the new members also showed prominently. The members of tho club were afterwards tho guests of tho Roslyn Senior and Intermediate Bible Classes. The Caversham Harriers held a ran from the Anderson’s Bay School, some 30 members participating. Paper was dispensed with. Past and slow packs set off under the •whistles of Qaptain Emmerson and Deputy Captain Mills respectively. The trail led past ther terminus and along to the cemetery. The Tomahawk road was followed past Mathioson’s farmhouse. and on to the paddocks at the foot of Mount Charles. A very steep ascent was negotiated, terminating on tho road about a mile beyond the Cairn. Tho road was followed down past the memorial and about three-quarters of a mile from tho school tho whistle sounded for tho run home, resulting in Tapp being first, closely followed by Hothcrington, A. Frye, C. Frye, and the pack following closely. The members were afterwards the guests of the ilon. C. E. Statham.
