OTAfeO CLUB. The second round of the Otago Golf Club’s championship was commenced on Saturday afternoon, the following matches , being played:—H. Ramsay heat R. B. Lambert, 5 and 3; T. C. Adams beat E. A. Reed, 1 up at the twentieth; Ur Ross boat J. S. Monro, 6 and 4. The second round of the Balmacewen Cup was also played, and resulted as follows: H. W. Bundle beat B. C. Haggitt, 2 up; E. N, Merrington beat G. H. G. Smith, 6 and 4; U. Samuel beat W. F. Alexander, 4 and 2; A. N. Haggitt beat J. K. H. Inglis, 2 up; C. Finlayson beat W. G. Rich at “the nineteenth; H. Henderson heat F. W. Mitchell. 2 and 1; R. W. Dick beat H. J. Lousiev, 5 and 3; G. H. Wbitcombe beat ,T. Ramsd.cn, 1 up; D. Haggitt beat P. H. Bell, 5' and 4; J. P. Rutherford beat J. C. Shand, 1 up; C..E. Reid beat D. Ramsay, 5 and 4; H. C. Rose beat W. Earnshaw at the twentyfirst; 11. be R. Worker beat N. Galbraith, 4 and 2; A. J. Sise beat S. C. Wilson by default.
ST. CLAIR CLUB. A medal match was played on .the St. Clair Links on Saturday, and was won by J. E. Matheson. The following were the best cards;—J. E. Matheson. 96 (less handicap 24), 72 nett; IV. H. Shepherd. 89 (14), 75; H. P. Sincock, 89 (14), 75; H. Chapman, 91 (1G), 75; J. A. Paterson. 91 (16), 75.
