BRITISH ROYAL HOUSE
ATTITUDE OF LABOUR. IMMEDIATE ABOLITION NOT DESIRED. CLASS TRADITIONS SHOULD BE ENDED, Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. LONDON, February 13. The Daily RteraJd, commenting editorally on the Socialists’ outburst against the Prince of Wales in the House of Commons, says anyone concluding that Labour ■wishes to abonsh Royalty forthwith would be astray. In forcing Royalties to maintain the old pomps and traditions their advisers are committing foolishness. The article suggests that Royalties themselves should break down class traditions, and finally urges that the nation should find for the Prince of Wales some job essential to the machinery of Government. Action on these lines would end criticism on the lives of Royalties.—A. and N.Z. Cable.
