EMPIRE TOURNAMENTS. (Pe» United Peess Association.) WELLINGTON, December 10. The Wellington Bowling Centre last night carried a motion that a remit be sent to the Dominion Council suggesting that teams bo invited from Canada, Australia, and South Africa to visit New Zear land in 1925, with the object of commencing annual inter-Empire bowling toumac ments. The mover stated that he had interviewed Sir Robert Stout and Visoount Jelliooe on the matter, and they cordially approved of the suggestion. A gentleman in Australia had offered to give a cup valued at £SOO for competition somewhat similar to the Davis Cup. The seconder of the motion, while not so optimistic as the mover as to the success of tho scheme, believed it would ba endorsed by the Dominion Council, and even if it could not be realised this year much good might come out of it.
