NEW LISEE FOE MIGRANTS
LONDON, November 26,
The Armstrong, Whitworth Company has launched at Walker-on-Tyne, tho Swedish-American liner Gripsholm, tho first migrant carrier equipped with Diesel engines to b© launched in Britain. The vessel will accommodate 1600 passengers, and has a displacement of 23,000 tons. The launching of this vessel means a new era in navigation. The ship will carry 15 per cent, more passengers than a steamer of a similar size, and time will be saved in bunkering.
