“J. B.”—The word has both meanings. “Wagner.”—The announcement of the concert was made in error. "Knowledge.”—The fact of the amendment being carried disposed of the motion. The proposer of the original motion was entitled to speak to the amendment or, alternatively, to reply to the whole discussion before the question was put to the vote. When the amendment was carried it became the substantive motion and, as such, should have been put to the meeting Through its not being so put some person, who had not previously spoken, may have been deprived of the right to propose an amendment to the substantive motion.
