ULTIMATUM TO MR G. S. THOMSON.
The following correspondence speaks for itself :
“Dear Mr Thomson, —I have been throated to inform you that you will not be admitted to any future meeting’s of the New Zealand Labour Party held under the auspices of the Otago Labour Reprasentatkm Committee. I might point out that you have the right to appeal to the Otago Labour Representative Committee against this decision.—Yours fraternally, R. G. M‘Donnell, Hon. Secretary Otago L.R.O. December 8.” “The Secretary, Otago Labour Representation Committee. Dear Sir,—Yours of even date to hand. In reply thereto I desire to state that, if a vote is taken at the next meeting of the O.L.R.C. whether the 0.L.R.0., and not the executive of the same only, is agreeable to hear me personally regarding the question of the determination of your executive to exclude the Reds from all the activities of the New Zealand Labour Party, and provided such vote is carried in favour of hearing me, and provided also that a correct report of such hearing is submitted to your National Executive for decision, then, and then only, shall I be agreeable to make an appeal against ‘Democratic Autocracy’ and snow why the work of your executive last night is bound to bo to the detriment of the New Zealand Labour Party.—Yours faithfully.
