STRUCK BY A CYCLONE
QUEENSLAND TOWN’S EXPERIENCE. CONSIDERABLE DAMAGE DONE. Prase Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. BRISBANE, December 8. A cyclonic storm struck the town of Blackall, and did considerable damage. Trees were uprooted, and telegraph and telephone wires were torn down. The town nail collapsed and took with it part of the room of the Telegraph Office, which adjoined, bhops and offices in the business part of the town were wrecked or unrooted. Several houses also fared badly. The electric lighting system was thrown out of order. Following the wind came torrential rain, which added to the disaster. Full details are not yet available owing to the lines of communication still being down.
