LOGAN PARK.

HIGHWAY LOAN PROPOSAL. TODAY’S POLL. "Widespread interest has been aroused in the High way-Lake Logan Loan poll today, and there is reason to believe that the vote cast will bo considerably larger than that usually recorded on such occasions. Polling will take place between the hours of 9 a.m. and 7 p.m., at 21 booths that have been appointed. It should be clearly understood that all who are on the roll as ratepayers or as freeholders, both men and women, have the right to vote, but those who are enrolled simply under the! “residential” qualification are not entitled to vote cm a loan proposal. The committees set up to advocate the proposal held a final meeting under the chairmanship of the Mayor (Mr H. L. Tapley) yesterday afternoon, and completed their arrangements. A number of cars have been placed at the disposal of these committees, and those who find difficulty in getting to a booth should get in touch with the office of the Expansion League with a view to having a car sent for them. The following are the polling places; Burns Hall; Knox Church Sunday School Hall, King street; Oddfellows’ Hall, Stuart street; Albany Street School Gymnasium, Albany street; George Street School Gymnasium, George street; Dormer’s Dining Rooms, North road (near Gardens gate); Town Hall, North road, North-East Valley ; Presbyterian Church, Opoho; St. Andrew’s Church Hall, Carroll street; Oddfellows’ Hall, David street, Caversham; Methodist Sunday School, South'road, Caversham; Oddfellows’ Hall, Kensington; Town Hall, South Dunedin; Reid Hall, King Edward street (near Bay View road), South Dunedin; Pavilion, St. Clair, Bedford street; Presbyterian Church, Anderson’s Bay; Arthur Street School Gymnasium; Salvation Army Hall, Highgate, Eoslyn; Waikari Hall; Naim street, Kaikorai; Coronation Hall.
