WOOL SALES.

BIG OFFERING AT WANGANUL (Faov O U'R Own Correspondent.} WANGANUI, November 19. Since the Wellington wool sales wool has been pouring into Wanganui for the sale which takes place , here on Monday next. From the north, south, east, ana. west, lorries are coining in laden with thft golden fleece and people are now getting some amusement assessing the value of the loads, each bale being computed as being worth about £4O. Quite a number of farmers were quito* contented to hold .bade their ottering until the next sales in anticipation of bigger prices, but the result' of Wellington's safe has caused them to change their minds and go for it while tha going was good. Most of the fleeces ara in tine condition. Last year 15.000 bales were offered fop sale at the first sale, but the offering comprised a largo quantity of carry-over jWdol from the previous year. Last season’s wool is practically all disposed of, so that the next sale will be all tbig season's growth. Shearing operations having been delayed considerably owing to tha weather has also been a contributing factor in this year's total being short by about 4000 bales. The'-sale in any case will be bigger than that at Wellington.
