Mix to a stiff dough with beaten egg and milk. Roll out thin, cut into rounds, bake in a moderate oven. When cool, fasten together with jam. Ice the top biscuit with warm fondant. Savoury Meat Pie 5 potatoes 1 on'on 1 lb. cold beef Pepper Unsweetened milk Salt (diluted) Mince the meat, slice potatoes and onions, put alternate layers of potatoes and meat, with pepper and salt, finishing with potatoes. Half fill the dish with the Unsweetened milk, cover, bake for an hour, then remove the cover, and brown ihe potatoes. Ted's Pudding 1 small cup sago I cup sultanas 3 cups flour 1 cup Highlander 2 tablespoons butter Milk (diluted) 2 eggs 1 tablespoon lemon peel 2 tablespoons jam I teaspoon soda Method. Cream butter with jam, add fruit, stir in the beaten eggs and milk. Mix with dry ingredients. Dissolve soda in a teaspoonful of milk and add to mixture. Steam two and a half hours. Custard Mix the cornflour with a little cold milk, pour the mjlk over, and stir over the fire till it thickens. When slightly cooled, pour over the beaten egg, and return to the fire until the egg sets. It mast not boil.
