THE ROYAL SHOW.
In connection with the first Royal Show to he held at Palmerston North holiday excursion tickets will be issued by the Railway Department from all stations in the South Island and branches from October 30 to November 4, and will be available for return up to and including November 12. Stockmen in charge of - live stock will also bo granted holiday excursion tickets. The question of providing special stock trains is still under consideration, and if sufficient stock is offering the department is prepared to run special trains to meet the convenience of exhibitors. The Union Steam Ship Company is also prepared to meet any demands made, and if sufficient stock is offering a special steamer will be put on if considered necessary.
