PRINCESS THEATRE.

RETURN OF REVUE

Revue returns to the Princess Theatre tonight with high-priest of the art, Georg© Storey, the featured comedian of his own company, presenting a brand new “revusical” comedy, “The Men in Possession,” which is said to be one of the funniest music offerings seen on the stage, with grace, youth, novelty, and humour enough to assure it of wide popularity. Mr Storey’s new show is rich in comedians, which in a musical medley of the sort is, of course, everything. There is Storey himself, whose sprightly wit and original 'comedy methods make him a host, in himself; Frank Haining, Fred Monument, Mark Erickson, and Richard Butler, all sterling abettors of the chief comedian’s talent; a trio of accomplished artistes in Mabelle Morgan, Dulcie Milner, and Ada Scaddan, _ and an exceptional dancing team in the nimble-footed “Delectable Six,” led by a dainty solo dancer, Miss Dorrie Ryder. “The Men in Possession” is brimful of attractive music and clever reparate. The story is an amusing one of two brokers’ clerks who are sent to claim the furniture and effects of a client, but miss the address and go to a house where a wedding anniversary is being celebrated. The staging of the revenue is attractive, especially in that scene where the gathering is being held and supper is laid. The dressing, too, is said to be verv fine, many of the gowns being exceptionally elaborate. The vaudeville side of the programme introduces a remarkably fine artist in Mr Alec. Regan, specially imported for the Miller-Ward production. “Mr Battling Butler. Mr Regan has many hits to his credit as baritone and leading man in musical comedy, these including the chief male role in the first London production of “Mary.” His sterling art, fine personality, and resonant and beautiful voice have won him widespread praise. With him in the vaudeville section will appear Clivalli’s Miniature Circus, Ford and Aldous, and Bert Harrow.
