SCHOOL SWIMMING.
MORAY PLACE CHILDREN.
A pleasing function took place, at the Moray Place School yesterday afternoon, when Mr H. F. Payton (chairriiatl of committee) and Mr F. J. Paape presented 12 medals to the children winning prizes in the recent schools’ swimming championships. The chairman congratulated the scholars on their splendid per-; forroance, and urged them to endeavour to. achieve even better success in the future. The recipients were well received by their fellow-scholars on receiving their respective medals. The Chairman intimated that Mr F G. Paape had offered two gold medals for competition by the Moray PiacS scholars in swimming at the next school championships—one each for the boy and girl gaining most points. The following were the prize-winners;—Florence Ren? shaw, Ist in diving; Florence Bauchop, 2nd •In 33 l-3yds chariipionship; Victoria.' Knight, 2nd‘in CO 2-3yds champiofiship; Jack O’Donell, 2nd in 25yds championship.
