GOLF CLUB EXPULSION
REFUSAL TO REINSTATE MR MACDONALD. LONDON, August 33. Following on tho refusal of Lossiemouth Golf Club to lift the expulsion of Mr Ramsay MacDonald in consequence of his war-time pacifist speeches, a. member and admirer of the Prime Minister, who holds a mortgage over the links, has made a demand for the immediate repayment of £3OOO, which he lent the club free of interest. The club does not anticipate any difficulty in meeting the demand. Lossiemouth is the birthplace of Mr Ramsay MacDonald, who is a keen golfer. During the war he was expelled from membership of the golf club owing to bis pacificism.
