A WOMAN POLITICIAN
AUSTRALIAN TO CONTEST COMMONS SEAT. *
LONDON, August 20. • An ‘ Australian, Mrs Muuiel Matters Porter, who is well known as a lecturer in England, will contest the Hastings seat at the next House of Commons election. She will stand as a Labour candidate. The sitting member is Lord Eustace Petty (Conservative).
