TWICE LIBELLED
COLLIERY OWNER ASSAILED ’ ' LONDON, August 19 In June last Sir John Dewrance charged Edwin Dawson with criminal libel arising' out of a pamphlet cocerning the Kent Colliery Co., of which Sir John Dewrance is managing director. Defendant pleaded guilty, and expressed regret. He was bound over in a surety of £SOO to keep the peace towards Sir John Dewrance for twp years. ■ -■ 1 After this trial Was concluded Dawson issued a second pamphlet attacking on John Dewrance. He was again prosecuted, and was sentenced to four months’ imprisonment in the second division. Dawson appealed against the sentence. Ilia court to-day upheld the conviction.
