A .TELLICOE stamp. (From Our Own Correspondent.) WELLINGTON', August 2(1. Should a Governor-General be used as a medium for advertising the dominion in which in' is tho representative of the King? That > K 11 question that may engage the attention of the authorities it Mr W. ,T. Pas cue’s suggestion, made at a meeting of Hie Technical College Hoard of Governors, is adopted. Mr Pascoe was talking about the New Zealand advertising campaign. Many plans had been suggested, he said, but. (here was one gentleman who had done an enormous amount to advertise the dominion—His Excellency the Gover-nor-General. Mr Pascoe suggested that a special set of stamps should be printed to commemorate his Excellency’s five years’ service to this country. Such stamps would be treasured by collectors and the general public in all parts of the world. They would thus show in a novel manner our appreciation of our Sovereign’s representative, and would go a long way towards making New Zealand better known overseas.
