August 25. ■ During his visit to Levin to-day, the Prime Minister received a deputation, representing the agricultural and commercial interests, whicti urged on him the advantages of the central development farm, here as a site for the proposed Agricultural College. The farm consists of B(XL acre*, with the necessary buildings, and at present is used by the Agricultural Department for experimental purposes. The advantages claimed were the central position, the diimate, and the quality of the land. ■/ Mr Massey, in reply, admitted the necessity of an Agricultural College. Ho said that the Government had not yet decided where it should be located. The decision lay with the Ministers of Education and Lands, who probably would make a recommendation in the near future. The Government did not need to go outside of its fttvn property, having farms at Levin and Ruakura, as well as those given by Mr W. Perry (Masterton) and Mr Howard (Hawke 1 * Bay). Mr Massey stated that ho could not say which of these would be decided upon, but the matter would receive early consideration. Nr
