A CALLOUS MOTORIST.
MAN SERIOUSLY INJURm LEFT UNCONSCIOUS ON ROAD, (Pbb Ukttku Press Association, J WELLINGTON. August 25.'* Another serious motor accident occurred on the Hutt road on Saturday evening, the victim being Mr Henry Gerard, of Web ling-ton. After being mu over, ho was left on the road, arid wm found .later seriously injured and unconscious. , 'His skull was fractured and his right arm broken. It is understood that Mr Gerard was walking along the road, when he was overtaken and knocked down by an unknown motorist. He was discovered huddled up on the roadway by 'a iWfi coming in from. As a. sequel to the Hutt road accident, a young man named Walter Eredpriqk Marris reported this morning to the police and stated that he had struck a man oil a bicycle, but thought it was only a glancing blow. He returned later, but the man had been removed. The hospital-ire-port, to-night is to the effect that Ganuxl*# condition is serious.
