Despite the conclusion of the treaty, the British Government has found it necessary to protest to the Soviet against the ind'ignaties suffered by Mr R. M. Hodgson, British Charge d'affaires in Moscow. His office is daily watched by spies and secret service, men, who intercept visitors, especially Russians, and try to ascertain the reasons for their visits and the nature of their conversations. M. Rakovsky has proposed to investigate the matter.—A. and N.Z. Cable.
