Montoith (Wellington East), in tho House of Representatives to-day, asked the Prime" Minister if he could give the House any indication when it would receive the report on tho investigation into the case of tho A.AIk.S. Ihe Priam ?, l uster said he thought the question shut id be referred to the Minister of Railways. Iho Hon. Mr Coates said the best thing tho hon. member could do would be to put his question on tho order paper. Mr Montsith: It’s one of urgency. Mr Ooates :Oh very urgent. I answered it last week. The report should be in the hands of the Government before the end of tho month. THE LICENSING ISSUE. A petition signed by tho Rev. G. Gordon Bell, dork in holy orders, Auckland, and others was presented to Parliament to-day asking that a third issue be maintained on the !>allot paper at tho licensing polls ami that the proposal of corjiorato control as sot out therein bo substituted for the existing third issue of State purchase and control.
