Our London correspondent mentions that the New Zealand Immigration Officer re ports that all shipping accommodation for emigrants is booked to New Zealand till ihe end of August. Four hundred were to sail on July 24, in addition to the SCO already on their way out. These numbers include 50 farm labourers. The total number of (assisted ©migrants to New Zealand for the 12 months ended June 7 P, the first year of the arrangement with the Imperial Government, is 8362. Numerous inquiries from prospective emigrants from all over the United Kingdom are being received by the High Commissioner’s office at present. During the month of May no fewer than 73C0 letters were dealt with by Mr Sandford’s department.
