Cable, Neighbours on visiting the home of a colliery engine-driver named George Breacknock in the village of Brodsworth a few days ago, found Breacknock and his son, aged four, with their throats cut, and Mrs Breacknock in a low state in another room similarly injured. Breacknock left a note stating: “I have taken my wife’s life because I ruined her, also the little boy’s, so that he will not be motherless.”
