Pm, —I had occasion to pay two small accounts for 19s and 9s 6d respectively by postal notes. In respect of the former amount I received postal notes for 15s, 2s 6d, and Is sd, poundage 4d, and the latter 6s, 3s, and Is 6d, poundage sd. You will notice the poundage on tho smaller amount is Id more. Hod it been necessary to purchase postal notes lor larger amounts, say, £1 and 10s, I would have paid poundage 2d and 2d respectively.
