ALBANY STREET SCHOOL.

JUBILEE CELEBRATIONS. ENTHUSIASM IN CHEISTCHURCH. (Fbom Otxr Owv Cokbespondent.) CHRISTCHURCH, Julv 31 A further mooting of the newly-formed llbany Street School Ex-pupils’ Association, waa held to-night, Mr A. O- Wilkinson presiding over a good attendance. Rules and regulations were adopted, and the subscription waa fixed at 2s per member. The election of officers resulted as followa: —Patron, Mr J. B. Strachan; president, Mr A. O. Wilkinson, vice-presidents— Mpsrs" 'G. J. Robb and J. D. Christie; committee —Misses Y. and K. Duncan, Mrs C. Browne, Messrs E. F. Scott, H. A. Gilbert, T. M'MLIIan, and H. F. Waitt. The Chairman reported that he had recently visited Dunedin, \vhoro he found great enthusiasm was being shown in the Jubilee of the school. A large number of congratulaterv messages had been received from, ex-pupifs, teachers, and committeemen, resident in various parts of the dominion and abroad. Among those who had been associated with the school were Sir James Allen, the Hon. J. G. Anderson, Mr J. R. Bartholomew, S.M., and others who had received their earlv training at Albany Strpet. He suggested that the association should forward a donation to bo devoted for any purpose in connection with the jubilee celebrations that the School Committee should decide on. The seoretary waa instructed to write to Dunedin stating that, a donation would be forwarded towards the jubilee fund at an early date.
