FINANCIAL PROBLEMS. RESTORATION OF GOLD STANDARD. Preoa Association —By Telegraph—Copyright. CAPETOWN, July 30. Tho Minister of Finance (Mr N. C. Havcnga) announces that there will be no change in the income tax. The Government proposes to offer a new loan, in London later in the year, and an internal loan immediately. The Minister intimated that there was a possibility of the Union having to take stops to resore the gold standard in advance of Great Britain. The Government required the advice of experts, and it therefore proposed speedily to appoint a committee of experts to inquire into the matter and advise the Government. —Reuter.
