SON LASHED TO TABLE.
Robert Constable, a mechanic, of Battersea, was fined £lO with £5 5s costs at a London court recently for brutal treatment of his children. Somo of tho evidence given by the children was that Constable lashed his 14-year-old son to the table, thrashed him with a belt, and rubbed salt on the wounds; held his 12-year-old boy by the heels and swung him round tho room, his head bumping on the floor; struck his eight-year-old girl, blacking both tier eyes. It jvas stated that arrangements would be made to remove the children from Constable’s care.
