Filipelli (editor of the Corriere dTtaliano) is undergoing many hours of stringent interrogation, but no light so far Las been thrown on Signor Matteotti’s fate, except the allegedly damning evidence against Dumini, in whose luggage it is stated blood-stained articles were discovered. —Reuter. A SENSATIONAL ARREST. SECRETARY OF FASCIST PARTY. ROME, June 19. The police have arrested Giovanni Marinelli, an ex-member of the Fascist directory, in connection with the Matteotti kidnapping. The arrest has amazed and shocked the public, as Marinelli has been administrative secretary of the party since its foundation, enjoying authority second only to Signor Mussolini. He recently lost Signor Mussolini’s confidence.—Router.
