Hokianga, Tho Tnrakina arrived at Port Chalmers yesterday morning and will come up to Dunedin this morning to complete discharge. She will return to Port Chalmers to load. Tho Kimutaka berthed at Port Chalmers late yesterday to load meat and other cargo for Boston, New York, and West of England ports. She will leave early next week for Napier. The Waihemo, which has been undergoing repairs in dock at Port Chalmers, will probably leave to-dav for Newcastle. The local office of the New Zealand Shipping Company has received advice that the liner Rotorua is to leave Wellington at 3 p.tn. on Monday for Southampton and London. THE PORT AUGUSTA The Commonwealth and Dominion Line Bteamer Port Augusta arrived at Auckland yesterday from New York, with cargo for discharge at Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin, Castlecliff, Wanganui, and Now Plymouth. WESTMORELAND FROM LIVERPOOL, Tire Federal Line steamer Westmoreland is scheduled to leave Liverpool to-day with cargo for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin. She is due at Auckland about July 31. H.M.S. DUNEDIN. H.M.S. Dunedin was despatched from Auckland on Monday afternoon for an extended cruise to the South Sea Islands and Australia. The Canadian Government steamer Canadian Miller arrived at Auckland on Monday evening from Halifax to discharge 1600 tons cf general merchandise for New Zealand. MANAIA AT AUCKLAND. An unexpected arrival at Auckland on Monday was the Union Company's^chartered steamer Manaia from Napier. _ Tho vessel experienced stormy weather at Gisborne, and as she was running short of coal came on to this port and consequently over-carried about £0 passengers for Gisborne. It was intended that the vessel should work Gisborne on Monday, and she was not expected at Auckland until Tuesday. She left on Tuesday night for Tokomam Bay, Gisborne, and Napier. CARGO FROM FRANCE. An interesting arrival at Wellington on Tuesday was the Measageries Maritimes steamer Antinous, from Dunkirk, via ports. The Antinous sailed from Dunkirk on March 23 for loading at Havre, Bordeaux, and Marseilles, and soiled from tho lastnamed port on April 15. Exceptionally good weather was experienced on tho run over to Point a Pitre (Guadalonpe), and afier visiting Fort de Franco (Martinique), the vessel reached Colon on May 12. Canal transit was obtained tho same day, and the Antinous passed through without incident. Tho run to Papeete was made in excellent weather, end arrival -was made there on May 30. Forty-two passengers from Franco disembarked at Papeete, and a stay of six days was taken. The Antinous continued her voyage on June 5, and immediately encountered very bad weather, with big seas and strong winds, which lasted for 10 days. Conditions then mode 'it ted somewhat, the remainder or the trip was made in fairly good weather. There were no incidents of an unusual nature on tho voyage. Various celebrations and sports relieved the monotony of the voyage, and crossing the Equator a dance was held, in which all passengers joined heartily. Sterliu; third officer, M, Triollo; chief'engineer, M, Bergada; doctor, M. Woltz; purser, M. Blpnleau; first wireless operator, M. Clampi; second wireless operator, M. Marcel. All the crew, 136 in ail, aro Frenchmen, cr of French descent. Tho Antinous left Wellington on Wednesday for Noumea, en route to Port Villa, Suva, Paoeete, Panama, Colon, Fort do France, Point a Pitre, Marseilles, Bordeaux, Havre, and Dunkirk.
