THE ST. JOHN AMBULANCE ASSOCIATION.
At tho monthly meeting of the executive of the St. John Ambulance .Association, held on Wednesday evening, the' members* were principally occupied in discussing matters of internal organisation. It was decided to invite delegates from the various sub-ccntres to attend a conference to be held on the day fixed for the annual meeting to discuss various matters connected with the association’s work. During last month. 475 visit's had been paid by tho association’s nurses, and the ambulances had been called for 128 times, the distance involved being 771 miles. The report of the Hospital hostess emphasised the need for some books and magazines for the use of patients. Anyone having literature for which they had not need could not do better than send them into the Hospital for this purpose. The forthcoming carnival was discussed at some length and the chairman expressed the feelings of members in saying that it was the best supported effort which had yet been made, and if it came up to expectations, a handsome addition to tbs funds woidd result.
