Black Jack s Qunuy,—for a period ol lour weeks, ended June 7, 2125 cubic yards oi material were quarried at Black Jacks, ‘goto cubic yards were quarried irom the upper quarry, and 105 cubic yards Ircm tne lower quarry. The whole oi the material was deposited on the railway embankment -wall. Tne embankment has been extended to Hie temporary bridge across the Hcith estuary, and it is hoped that the wall will be built more rapidly on the shallower ground on the couth side of the bridge. Goat Island Quarry.—For a period of four weeks, ended June 7, TJ'2l, KlGo cubic yards or material were quarried at Goat Island, and deposited on the half-tide wall between piles 111.18.

■y" Shed. —The closed portion of this shod will 1/2 ready for use on or about the 25th lust. The laying of the concrete floor will complete the open or "Qa” shed.

‘TV’ Shed.—The roof of this shed has been renewed in 21 gauge galvanised iron and painted. Ti ’ Shed. —The “’closing-.. t the open portion of this shed has Itci completed. This shed will bs ready for use as soon as the skylights have been placed in position. Harbour Tenrace Sections.—The filling-in of these sections has been completed. The fences of the various sections have been repaired or renewed. Laurel ' Bank.—Four thousand eight hundred yards of filling have been deposited on these sections, but a considerable quantity more is required before the sections are up to the level. Tug Plucky. —The tug Plucky was docked for survey of hull and inspection of propeller shaft. A small patch on the hull and the renewal of the floor plates under the boiler permit of the retention of her home trade certificate. The Plucky is now in commission, while the Dunedin is undergoing her annual survey. Repairs.—Repairs have been effected to the Victoria and Birch street wharves, winch \veu> damaged by the steamers Arawa and Opihi.
