JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOLS.

QUESTION OF CONTROL. (Per United Press Association.) WELLINGTON, June 19. The control of junior hi°h schools was discussed at the Council of Education meeting to-day, and on the motion of Mr Howell (Wellington) the following was carried: “That, in smaller centres the junior high schools should bo associated with secondary and technical schools, and should be under the control of their boards.” It was also decided that junior high schools attached, to district high schools should remain under the control of Judaeation Boards. A committee was set up to- report to the next meeting of the council on the question of reducing the number of boards in tho various districts.
