THEFT OF UNION FUNDS.
TWELVE MONTHS’ IMPRISONMENT. (Pek United Press Association.) . AUCKLAND, June T 9. In the Police Court Thomas Ward Bromley, late assistant secretary of tho Auckland branch of the Federated Seamen’s Union, was sentenced to 12 months in gaol for the theft of £BO of union funds. Mr Poynton, S.M., said that stealing from fellow-unionists aggravated his offence, and he refused to grant probation.
