Th'e court has granted the application of the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals to issue summonses against Mr Cochrane, Mr Tex Austin, and the cowboy who roped the steer which broke its leg at the rodeo exhibition; also against Cochran and Austin for keeping a place for fighting or baiting animals. —A. and N.Z.
