ALBANY STREET SCHOOL JUBILEE.

.V general meeting of thsoo interested in the loitlicomiiig jubilee of Albany Street fcelioot was held last evening al me school, -Mr A. Dempster presiding. Il was decided to alter the, dates of Ihe functions to Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, Aiigust to, 111, and 17. - The. Convener of the Souvenir Committee reported that the work ot preparing a souvenir was well in hand, and it waa expected. that the souvenir would be ready about the middle ot July. A booklet of between 4:> and 50 pages, saleable at Us Gd, was armed at, and photos and mlormaliou of historical interest and news concerning any ex-pupil or ex-teacher who had attained distinction in any part of the world, would be welcomed. The Finance Committee convener recommended Unit one ticket covering the whole of tiie functions should be issued at a puce to be lixed.

The report of the Social Connnitlee detailed proposals regarding the dinner, tho social, and the dance. It was decided that tiie dinner should be open to members of both sexes. After discussion, it was resolved to leave to the executive all matters regarding charges, etc., for the various functions. Tho report of the cx-Scholars’ Committee showed that the. work of perusing the roils with a view to circularising ox-pupils had been commenced. It recommended that, advertisements concerning the jubilee be inserted in the papers in the lending towns. It was hoped to organise a, hie and drum band from amongst ex-pupils. A dralt circular to ex-pupils was submitted for consideration. The circular and the clause regarding advertising were referred to tho inner executive.
