CHINESE TEAM’S . TOUR. < - iPejs United P.rkss Association.) WELLINGTON, June 17. Official advice of the departure of ,tho team of Chinese university Association football players for New Zealand was received by the secretary of the New Zealand Council to-day. Dr Gray, physical director for the Y.M.C.A. in China, cabled: “A strong team sailed to-day, comprising Mr Dome, manager,' and Chen, coach. The Southeastern University has two players, Soo Chow one, Fuhtan five, Nan Yang four, Hongkong one, and Canton Christian two.” Mr Salmon said that there was no possibility of the team playing in Australia on its wav to New Zealand, Regret was expressed that Dr Gray,/ who had'- done so much for Association football in China, was not accompanying the team as manager. _______ ••
